Researcher in animal experiments (Quantitative genetics – Farming systems)
My main topics are the characterization of genetic variability in heat adaptation in pigs, and evaluation of tropical pig production systems.
After a MSc in applied mathematics and Biostatistics, I obtained my Ph.D in Animal genetic and adaptation.
I am particularly lay stress on i) characterizing genetic variability in heat adaptation using tools of classical quantitative genetics or tools from genomics, ii) conceiving and evaluating breeding schemes that integrated traits related to heat tolerance, iii) evaluating pig farming systems that valorized local tropical pig breed.
